Cod Liver Oil, Old School remedy for modern day health issues

Cod liver oil
Cod liver oil (CLO) is a thin oily liquid that is made from the liver of the fish. With CLO, livers are harvested, steamed cooked and pressed to extract the oil. The method for extracting the nutrient is quite different where regular fish oil is concerned. In that extraction process, the entire fish is cooked to render the same results.
CLO can be considered the panacea of health supplements when it comes to treating disease. There is hardly a disease known that doesn’t respond favorably to CLO treatment. The amount of possible ailments that CLO is used to treat are endless.
CLO contains more
Vitamin D
and vitamin A than any of the basic food groups and it is therefore very difficult to obtain vitamin’s A and D potency in an equivalence source. Additionally, CLO contains a significant amount of the elongated omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, which is the precursor of prostaglandins, (localize tissue hormone) which helps the body to cope with inflammation.

CLO is very effective in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and can effectively treat those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis as well. Individuals suffering from the latter 2 are more likely to see better results from taking
hyaluronic acid
or
glucosamine
CLO can be a very effective treatment for preventing heart disease and heart attacks as well as aid in healthy heart function. COL has healing properties that may assist after heart surgery recovery also. Listed below are some known benefits of CLO:
